Because of the advanced planting techniques used at the festival, the Taean Tulip Festival was chosen as one of the world's top five tulip festivals at the World Tulip Summit in 2015 that was held at the Suncheon Bay Garden.

Gochang Green Barley Field Festival

This festival is held every year in April amongst the beautiful green barley fields of the Gochang-gun region. The Gochang Green Barley Field Festival is the region’s most popular festival and was visited by over 550,000 tourists in 2008. The festival celebrates the region’s plentiful 'barley', and visitors can take part in activities such as making flutes out of barley and searching for hidden treasures in the barley fields. Also it is best known as a filmming location of the popular K-DRAMA 'Guardian(The lonely and creat God, Goblin)'.

Still remember the breathtaking buckwheat field where Gong Yoo heard Go-eun’s voice while holding a bunch of buckwheat flowers? This scene was taken at Gochang Borinara Farm in Jeollabuk-do.

Spring Festivals 2017 (March - May)

Jinhae Gunhangje Festival

An annual festival to enjoy cherry blossoms is held at the beautiful navall port city of Jinhae in southern Korea. The Jinhae Gunhangje Festival offers a plethora of events and activities, including a special event on the eve of the festival, Paldo Pungmul Market, art and culture performances, and more at Jungmun Rotary.

Guards of honor ceremony take place on 2pm Friday, 3pm Saturday from April to June / from October to November at the Korean war memorial hall.

The honor guard ceremony is comprised of three main events, a traditional swordsmanship demonstration, military musical performance, the performance of the honor guards from the three branches of the armed forces.

Visitors can take a picture with the soldiers of the honor guards.
